Our Story
Borbonus Family Foundation was founded to honor the life and sacrifice John Borbonus, a young Idahoan killed in action on April 17, 2007. In 2023, after his father Hans' death, the Foundation was expanded to include the Borbonus family's interests and legacy.

Mission & Values
The mission of the Borbonus Family Foundation is to: (1) honor the life and sacrifice of Army Specialist John Borbonus by supporting Idaho military veterans, and (2) perpetuate the legacy of the Borbonus family—by advancing athletic or educational programs (with an emphasis on golf) that benefit Idaho youth in K-12 and post-secondary institutions, and (3) by partnering with institutions that make the enjoyment of arboreal natural spaces accessible to the general public.
